singer-songwriter Dylan Rooke, inspired by both his American and Irish folk roots, shares stories that connect to everyday people and common life. He got his musical start in the punk and hardcore music scene in Pittsburgh, and though the grit leaves stains in the sound, the new approach brings a well-constructed and mature sound to his song writing. In early 2016 he reconnected with some old friends who formed the accompanying band Red Coal. Together these friends have been writing and playing music together in various forms for almost 13 years and seemed to pick up right where they had left off. Experimenting with the intersection of folk roots, rock and roll, and some punk, together they have overlaid vocal harmonies, modern electric and traditional acoustic instruments, to orchestrate a balance between the dynamics of their songs, bringing with them many anthems to be sung arm in arm.
